We were delighted to welcome Lord Barry Jones and members of Flintshire County Council (Brian Lloyd -Chairman, Clare Budden – Chief Officer & Cllr Derek Butler – Cabinet Member – Economic Development)  to our offices for a tour of our facilities and update on current projects.

The visit was as a result of  Taylor Dowding Innovation winning the Flintshire Business Award for Technology, Innovation & Enterprise.

Lord Jones congratulated TDI on ‘an inspiring and successful enterprise‘ commenting that our products are ‘practical and futuristic‘.

Flintshire Business Awards 2017

The winners of the Flintshire Business Awards have been revealed.

Taylor Dowding Innovation were delighted to be presented with the Innovation, Technology & Enterprise Award. The award was kindly sponsored by Kingspan Insulated Panels U.K. who recongnised the innovative products developed by TDI in Flintshire.

Flintshire Business Awards, now in their eleventh year, recognise excellence and outstanding performance by businesses across the county.
The winners of the ten categories were revealed at an exclusive black tie award ceremony at Soughton Hall, Northop on Friday 20 October. With an audience of more than 200 influential business people, Flintshire companies were celebrated for their successes.

We had a good day at Llandrillo College on Monday supporting a Careers Wales STEM event with ESTnet. It was great to talk to students about their goals, and hopefully we inspired some of the students to look at a career in electronic design.

There was a lot of interest in our products which led to interesting discussions with the students, very rewarding to attend an event like this.

Enabling every firefighter to have enhanced situational intelligence, Tyco’s Scott Sight product is an industry first, combining a low cost mask-mounted thermal imaging camera with an in-mask micro-display, giving Sight to a firefighter in a smoke-filled building and significantly extending operational time during engagements with self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
